Basic Life Support (BLS) BLS courses are held each Thursday at the Institute, beginning at 9am. Part 1 - 8 hrs This is a two year certificate course from the American Heart Association intended for healthcare providers. The course covers adult, child and infant CPR including the use of airway adjuncts, obstructed airway and bag valve use. This course is approved by the County of Riverside and the State of California.
Part 2 – Recertification - 3 hrs This is a two year certificate course from the American Heart Association intended to recertify healthcare provider’s CPR certification. This course is required at two year intervals, reviewing the fundamentals and updates of CPR. The course is approved by the County of Riverside and the State of California. This course will be offered on an as requested basis. Please contact the Community Resuscitation Office for the current course schedule.
