Hospital Emergency Incident Command System, Comprehensive (HEICS)

6 hour/ Introductory 3 hours -

Employees are required to have basic familiarity with Hospital Emergency Incident Command System (HEICS). Riverside County EMS Agency requires that all hospitals and medical facilities practice HEICS during declared disasters.  This program will explain the basic command structure including the job functions of the five major components of the Incident Command System (ICS).  Terminology, span of control practices and staff notification and reporting during disaster situations are taught.
