Save time with  online training courses offered by the Weil Institute and its affiliate, RCPALS!  American Heart Association (AHA) certified online courses give busy healthcare professionals an alternative to traditional classroom-based training courses.  These self-directed, comprehensive web-based programs can be completed at work, home or wherever Internet access is available and can be used for initial or renewal training.  All online courses - Heartsavers FA and CPR/AED; BLS; ACLS and PALS - include key changes reflecting science from the 2010 AHA Guidelines for Emergency Cardiovascular Care.  All AHA online courses contain 3 distinct components:

  • Part 1:  Students complete the interactive, cognitive portion of the course online, including video-based lessons.  After successful completion of this portion, students must print the Part 1 Completion Certificate for presentation to the instructor before proceeding with Parts 2 and 3.

  •   Part 2:   Students are given an opportunity to participate in a Hands-on skills practice session  with an AHA Instructor.

  • Part 3:  Students take the Hands-on skills test with an AHA Instructor.

Persons interested in taking online courses with the Weil Institute must purchase an access "Key Code" from our affiliate RCPALS or online through the AHA website. Following registration, the student must activate the Key Code to access Part 1 of the course.  After completing the test, the student should print the Certificate of Completion for presentation to the AHA instructor.  Students must contact the Weil Institute to schedule Part 2, the Hands-on skills practice and Part 3, the Hands-on skills testing sessions.  After successful completion of all three parts, the student will receive an AHA course completion card, valid for two years.

When purchasing online courses through our affiliate RCPALS, students should be sure to purchase BOTH the online portion and the skills test for one fee.   Students may incur additional charges if the Key Code is purchased  through the AHA or if the Key Code is employer provided.  Please see our Education Coordinator for additional information about our online training courses.
